tHIS WAS MY FIRST TIME DOING MY OWN TAXES. yES IT TOOK ME SEVEN HOURS TO DO IT BUT IT WASN'T PAINFUL OR NERVE RACKING. I NOTICED THE SUPPORT OF THE PROGRAM. THANKS

I'VE USED TURBO TAX IN THE PAST, BUT LAST YEAR WENT TO A LESS EXPENSIVE "WANNABE"...NEVER AGAIN! I'LL STICK WITH WHAT I KNOW TO BE A HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT. THANKS.
What's great about it: QUICK, FAIRLY EASY, AND I'M SO HAPPY I'M DONE!
What's not so great: THERE WAS A COUPLE OF TIMES I HAD QUESTIONS. NOTHING MAJOR & THEY WERE ANSWERED W/I A FEW CLICKS

Read the book still, know what you can input, TT can only use information you give it.

get more refund for less money

I have always used a commercial tax preparer service, and the cost was astronomical! Neither did I have any idea of what was actually going on in my return documents - it was all too confusing. Every time they would find me a new deduction, they would charge me for the new document and the deduction would shrivel. With TurboTax's step-by-step instruction, I fully understand what I am actually deducting on my forms, and I feel assured that I have been educated about every possible deduction to ensure maximum refund. Thanks, TurboTax!

Great customer service. Called about a depreciation question and the person knew what she was talking about and was detailed.
However, I had to switch to using desktop app when I realized I couldn't file a missed minimum retirement distribution using the website. Took me a while to figure it out too. Not obvious at all.
Did feel a bit nickeled and dimed when I was charged such a large amount to get the refund deposited to my checking account. But didn't have a choice since I'm overseas right now.
What's great about it: Good customer service. Called to ask a question and got a thorough answer
What's not so great: had to switch to using desktop app

Great experiences! Fifth year with the Deluxe program and no problems. E-filing is easy.
What's great about it: Tracks information from year to year. Gets easier very year
What's not so great: Have to do override in NC return because they don't allow for state taxes paid by partnerships.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years now, and it's the only way to go. It's simple for a simpleton like me. Every step is laid out for you and everything progresses as stated in the ads.

Using questions to guide me through my taxes made it very easy to complete my taews in one day. Also, this feature got me deductions I never would have considered if I did my taxes without Turbotax.
