My Excellent Turbo Tax Experience

I have used Turbo Tax to prepare and file returns since 2004. Compared to the old method of tracking down paper forms, manually filling them out and mailing them to the IRS, your tax software program is revolutionary. I prefer it to even using a tax professional at available at one of the commercial tax services.
The Guide Me portion of the program is the key. It's simple and easy to understand. I believe that even a novice could use it successfully.
Thank you for creating this program and keep up the excellent work.
What's great about it: user friendly, fast and worth every dollar spent to acquire
What's not so great: I have no constructive criticism

1099-R

I had issues with a 1099-r. I read some of the help but no clear cut answer. I went to pub 970 and read through it. After that, I went back to Turbo Tax and was able to correctly get the help I needed to finish my return.
I don't know if it possible but I believe I have used Turbo Tax for ten years.

I've been using TurboTax for several years because of its easy use. There are some items that I need to research to enter data. My only negative remark is the option for other way to send data without addition fees is not clearly stated.
What's great about it: easy, I like quick links to IRS
What's not so great: payment is confusing and deceiving.

Easy Weezy

I've been using TurboTax for several years now. It has always been easy to use. The lead through questions are easy to understand but if you need more clarification, there is always a link to more information.
It allows me to go back in midstream and add forms that I forgot or received late. I can run "what-if" scenario's to see which filing status will benefit me the most.
The forms print out nice and neat in an organized manner. I just pick them up from my printer, staple them together and file them away. This year, I saved a PDF copy as a backup to my paper forms.
It makes e-filing a breeze. I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box when it comes to some online stuff but TurboTax keeps it simple and easy. And it usually doesn't take very long at all to get my refund back. #YEA!!#

Quick and Easy Tax Preparation

I have been doing taxes for my husband and I as well as for several of my family members for the past 3 years. Before I started using TurboTax, I would do them by hand. I have no idea whether or not the amount of my refunds would have been better before if I had used TurboTax then, but I do know it is a whole lot easier. For the past 3 years, I have done the taxes for 4-5 different people. This year was the first time I had the same computer to use and therefore I was able to easily download last year's taxes into this year's program. For 3 of the 4 tax files that I did, it took me about 10 minutes to fully complete them since little had changed from the previous year and much of the information was automatically entered. The 4th file was a little more complicated, with stocks, retirements, etc. In the future, I might try using the next TurboTax to make doing that one easier, but for this year the Deluxe version served our purposes well. The ease with which I am able to do the taxes is well worth the cost of the program. As I said before, this is the third time I have used TurboTax and I intend to continue using it. It has taken the stress out of doing our taxes.
What's great about it: It is easy to use and gets easier each year.
What's not so great: It always seems to need updates and they often take a long time.
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo tax CD is a product that is worth its price. Prior year data inported to new year data helps shorten typing in data
