Easy to file

If the prior year tax file was corrupted due to a computer failure, the data transmitted to this year's file is not complete. The related tax forms may have incorrect information and there does not appear to be any way to preview the form as the information is being entered.
What's great about it: Walked me through each step
What's not so great: Hard to find information on specific tax forms

Getting a Refund

I've loved Turbo Tax for years. This year gave me no reason not to. Thanks!
What's great about it: It was very easy to use.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TT is easy to use and complete.

I've been using TT for quite a few years. I like it because it gets to look at what I did the prior year and, in my case, it's mostly the same.
What's great about it: Walks you through the steps and gives informative choices.
What's not so great: Doing taxes is no fun--but easier with TT.

I HAVE BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR MANY YEARS, NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. WILL CONTINUE TO USE THIS PRODUCT AND RECOMMEND TO OTHERS. I WISH IT WAS A LITTLE MORE AFFORDABLE.
What's great about it: Quick and accurate.
What's not so great: A little pricey.

Struggling to Continue Using TurboTax

Either life is getting more complex, I'm slowly finding it harder to comprehend, or TurboTax is not keeping up. 1099's come in so many forms. We have one investment which contains a bunch of stocks and other securities but isn't a mutual fund. If there's an easy way to report if, I haven't found it.
I also had one charitable contribution of supplies to a school in Tanzania (impersonally delivered). Tanzania doesn't have zip codes but TurboTax wouldn't allow me to report this contribution without a zip code.
What's great about it: Familiarity with TurboTax makes most of the process easy.
What's not so great: More and more instances where the questions don't fit the situation.

Works well with simple return

The only issue I had was putting in the balance due for direct deposit. I could not put the amount in the box. The issue was picking efile. Well until you go to efile, you don't get the option. This process is after the final review section in the process. I have no idea if the box was completed during the efile process or not. I'll find out soon enough.

Simplifying my return.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. The guided system works well and the year-to-year continuity is fantastic. Switching between the guided system and form views is not a problem, and the software handles the transitions between these views without a hitch. I have no complaints with the software, only complaints about the overly complicated tax codes. One final note- the cost of the software is reasonable. I will continue to use Turbo Tax in the future.
