Great Job On Refunds

What's great about it: easy - concise
What's not so great: could use easier access to pros and more deduction detail

Used Turbo Tax for years

Overall, Turbo Tax is the simplest and most cost-effective tax prep software or website I have found. Yes, there are the websites that say they will file for free, but if you are filing anything more than a 1040 EZ, you want to use the software that is going to answer your questions, and keep you from making stupid mistakes on your return. I use the Deluxe version, which works well. This year I had a rollover of a previous employer's pension to an IRA, and I was afraid that the software would count it as income. Nope - got it right. It works to record my retirement and HSA and investments without alot of hassle.
What's great about it: simple, convenient, frugal
What's not so great: Sometimes the "help" or "explain" still leaves questions

Loved it! I don't trust a person to do it other than myself. It's cheaper than going to someone and its so easy to do!

Have used Turbotax for many years now and have NEVER had a problem. Very comfortable with the program and the ease of using it.
What's great about it: Easy to use and follow prompts
What's not so great: don't like to pay for e-file of state

Takes the confusion out of taxes

Several times where there were several items in a category such as charitable contributions, or 1099-R that had appeared in last year's return but were not applicable in this year's return, instead of deleting them, I just did not put any numbers in those items. Most were caught on reviews, but one did not get caught until I was e-filing. Otherwise, Turbo tax handled what could have been a fairly complex return very efficiently and smoothly with no real hiccups. I was very happy with the final product.
What's great about it: Smooth and efficient
What's not so great: Not always clear that items from previous years MUST be deleted if not used in current year

Turbo Tax 2012

I've used Turbo Tax for the last 4 years and love how easy it is to use. Even on years when our taxes were a little harder and more complicated. I recommend Turbo Tax every chance I get.
What's great about it: I love the easy step-by-step but also that I can switch to forms when needed.
What's not so great: Not crazy about the extra charge to submit payments
