It has been quite a few years since I used Turbo-Tax

Hard to correct errors

I could not delete a Partnership schedule that was dissolved several years ago. Could not delete an "S" corp that never existed (entered accidentally several years ago).
when trying to E-file errors in the above schedules, Could not be corrected without completely filling out schedules that were for zero dollaramkounts.
What's great about it: Very easy to navagate the known
What's not so great: Difficult to delete unwanted forms; eg schedule K's

I like Turbo Tax. It's better than going to a tax service. The help sections is good but should be titled Turbo Tax For Dummies...LOL

Turbo Tax getting easier.

Turbo tax is getting a lot more user friendly. It also helps when you used the software a prior year so the time taken inputting all the information is lessened. The only negative I have is the getting charged to send the taxes to the state and gov't. I would prefer that this already be included with initial price, especially when it's just gov't and one state.
What's great about it: Easy once your ready.
What's not so great: Still a charge for transmitting taxes, on top of the purchase price.

Straight forward returns found me $200 extra

Honestly, everything was great. The software found a credit that I would otherwise have been unaware of, plus it determined my eligibility for me! That was an extra $200 in the pocket, so the software more than paid for itself. I tried for other credits too, but was otherwise ineligible. Oh well, I tried.
The only real complaint would be the description under Vehicle Registration Fees (VRF) in relation to Personal Property Taxes (PPT). I paid PPT on my car, but the PPT step indicated that the section was for "Motor Homes, Mobile Homes, Planes, and Boats"...no mention of cars except under "Does not include". PPT comes after VRF and it leads you to believe PPT for the car should be in the VRF section. It was a little confusing because of this and it really shouldn't have been. Why couldn't "Car" be included in the PPT list? It is the most common, and it wasn't like the description box was lacking the space to include it.
What's great about it: Step by step tax prep
What's not so great: One step poorly defined
