Better Than Ever Tax Preparation

Importing data from our 2011 tax return made the reporting of numerous tax-deductible contributions much easier and speedier. This process was a pain-in-the-neck during past years.
What's great about it: Organized and understandable approach to a difficult process.
What's not so great: Difficult to locate input info for specific IRS forms to correct errors in answering questions on input data panels.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Taxes Made Simple

I have used Turbotax for many years. I like the way Turbotax pulls all of the information from my prior years returns, which saves me a lot of legwork and typing. I really like the interview process used to go through my taxes. It ensures that I don't miss anything. I also like being able to switch to "forms mode" anytime I need to see what's actually on my forms. It's really great that all the info from my federal return automatically transfers onto my state tax return.
What's great about it: I like the way Turbotax pulls all the info from my prior year return.
What's not so great: I wish the electronic filing of my state tax was free.

Overall it was easy to click to go to the next section, but it was difficult and frustrating when you were asked a question about something, you click explain and then you still feel lost. However, as noted above I was "pleased as punch" with the overall program. I will use it again next year and I was thrilled to save over half of what I've paid in previous years to have someone else prepare my taxes. I didn't think it should cost so much more to send your taxes off and the state should be free, but hopefully I get what I paid for. The true test will be when I get my return without any errors from the IRS saying they need more information or that I owe them money. I would recommend this product. Thank you.
What's great about it: the explain sections
What's not so great: somethings didn't go into much detal

On a side note,I really liked that questions I had other than on return that I google searched always had an answer by turbo tax that was easy to understand.
What's great about it: easy step-by-step and and explanations
What's not so great: rookie with basic computer skills. Got confused with creating files for personal storage

i have successfully used Turbo Tas for the past 8 years and have found little need for professional tax assistnace. I use your Delux version since my earnings and expenses are varied and quite extensive. Thank you for your excellent product
What's great about it: Your recommended procedures were clear and easy to follow.
What's not so great: No problems even for a 91+ year old non-professional

I am sold on TurboTax! It's consistently gotten me bigger refunds than expected ~ well worth investment of purchase
