[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this tv because it was advertised as a smart tv with apps such as Netflix and tru motion.i had the tv a few years before I was able to connect it to my network ( it was too far from my router & I didn't know how to get this problem resolved at the time). This tv has no apps and the true motion isn't adjustable. Although the picture great is great, I could have purchased many tv's for a lower price than I paid for this one, if I had wanted a non- smart tv without apps. The tv is now discontinued and rightly so because imo it's obsolete.
Pros: Performance, Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only had it a few days

I've only had this set for 2 days but I am blown away by it so far. I am coming from a 6 year old rear projection LCD just so you know. The crispness and brightness of the LED backlighting on this is tremendous. The 3D is exceptional. I like the Smart Picture setup and the colors are very vibrant. This thing is super thin but the backing is metal and feels very sturdy. It has a matte finish to help reduce glare. I have not connected it to my network yet but I understand that it isn't a smart tv but it will be fun to play with the DLNA sharing. So far I think I got a good deal.

Excellent for the money

I have only had it for a few weeks, but so far so good. TV is in a pretty bright room and have had no issues with glare. I got the package deal with the soundbar, but i dont think the soundbar is necessary. Sound from TV is good on its own.

HDTV viewing has improved a lot since its introduction years ago in the market. This LG product we bought made TV viewing a new experience...wide screen, vivid colors, easy to use and reasonable price. Great product.
