Noisy fan is a bad solution to electrical problems!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my oven in February but have not been able to use it until June. Let's start with the fan, it runs constantly and is very annoying. I would expect a fan to run on convection bake, but not on regular bake, but I was informed that kitchenaid installed a second fan after too many electrical boards over heated. Not to mention the fan runs about an hour after the oven is shut off. I dare say this was a poor solution. Also it takes about a half hour for the oven to preheat to 375. When I asked the serviceman why it took so long he said it was normal. If I plan to bake supper at six I need to start the oven by 5:15. Really! My old oven had no trouble getting to 375 in ten minutes. This is not progress.
Also be careful putting anything into the oven while preheating ,we had a pizza burn on one side and doughy on the other.I was told not to put anything into the oven while preheating but that is not what the manual said. I never experienced these problems with my old oven. Too much technology, too bad.
I feel it is a shame I spent so much money on a new oven and I don't even want to use it. My electric bill this last month has doubled what it normally is, I am accounting much of that to the long warm up period and long cool down.
There is also a twenty degree difference in oven temperature, I was told it was normal for it to be twenty degrees higher or twenty degrees lower, it's all normal. Really bumming about this. I could not recommend this oven to anyone.

SLOW to heat and cool down!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the sleep appearance but the oven takes so long to heat up and even much longer to cool down. The fan runs forever until it shuts off--about one hour. Makes our kitchen very hot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to be a good oven, however I personally would have liked actual knobs to adjust the heat. The printed words on oven are too small also. How to change the temp once oven is heating is not easily apparent. Also when wiping the surface the push buttons are turned on. And the cooling fans runs the entire cooking time and for a long time afterwards. I am sure this oven is loaded with all kinds of innovative features, that I will never use or need.

The next day I went to wipe oven clean and found greese between the two glasses. Have had a representative look at it, waiting to see if I get a new door. Cannot rate until I have a phone call. Otherwise very happy.
