I bought end of august and in a months time 2 burners turned cloudy and no one will help me.will never buy another kitchenaid if this is how you treat your customers.

Terrible cooktop! Difficult to keep clean -- you just look at it and there are smudge marks all over. Previously owned a KitchenAid cooktop and it was very easy to clean. This version has spots that will not budge and it is not as easy to control. Wish I had done more research before purchasing, but I felt KitchenAid had an excellent reputation. Was I wrong!

I have several complaints about this product. The outlines of the burners are very hard to see. The knobs are slippery and not easy to turn. The heat seems uneven. I am very disappointed in this item.

I had this installed about five months ago as part of a custom kitchen renovation.
Pros:
- Looks nice when perfectly clean
- Can get quite hot

Cons:
- Extremely difficult to keep clean; requires special cleaner and elbow grease and even then is easy to pock mark/permanently damage
- Some burners get extremely and unexpectedly hot; knobs can be very sensitive between low heat and and really hot
- One knob broke within first few months of use (power and hot surface lights no longer activate when using upper left burner); waiting on a part for warranty repair
- Difficult to see outlines of burner areas unless very well-lit
- Extremely difficult to keep clean; requires special cleaner and elbow grease and even then is easy to pock mark/permanently damage

NB: Write down your serial number before installing. This is the only appliance I got recently where the company didn't have the foresight to put a sticker on the manual with the serial number. You basically have to uninstall it to get the serial number.

This cooktop has accurate settings. Besides your ordinary controls, it has a constant "keep warm" setting, which is ideal for keeping food from getting cold while other foods are still cooking.
It looks sleek and classy. But, be careful not to spill anything on it because spills are difficult to clean off the glass top once it dries. That is the one drawback.

So beautiful! But, alas! After just a few uses I just couldn't clean it. Looked spotty and was already showing a scratch although I didn't use iron skillet or anything like that. Was a real pain but had to return it Cooked great but not at all satisfied as it looked "used" after just a few uses. Couldn't revive the new look.

We purchased this cooktop based on brand reputation, some of the on-line reviews, and the sleek design. It is hard to control the heat and the definition of the burners is not good. We are avid cooks and entertain often in our kitchen so both function and aesthetics are important to us- this model has neither. After every use we take a deep breath and once again attempt to clean the darn thing- it's at least a three step, ten minute ordeal to remove spilled food, lift the stains, then remove the resulting film and streaks. We let it cool off,wipe it down, them get the soft scrub, then get the Windex and paper towels. All of this and there are still food stains and spots. Tonight we tried a friend's recommendation to finish it with a single edge razor blade... That definitely helped but there is no way you should have to work so hard to clean a cooktop. Don't be fooled by the sleek design, the only time it looks great is the day it is installed and when there is no light on it. After just 9 months we are alrady dreaming of the replacement.
