Wife is cooking again

My wife hated the electric smooth top range we had, it did not cook things right. So, we bought a Kitchaid gas cook top, it is great. While at the store she said the microwave oven was taking too long, so we bought a Kitchenaid convection microwave. While it was being installed, she said the oven never did bake right. Cakes were lop sided, burnt on top and not quite done on the bottom. So back to the store and we bought a Kitchenaid convection wall oven. Did I mention that they are all stainless? The bottom line is that she is now cooking, and baking, and I am gaining weight. When Mom is happy everyone is happy and well fed. She has also said that using the convection features speeds up the cooking times. She likes all of the features/automatic stuff. I like the clock because I can see it at a distance. All in all these purchases was money well spent.

I have not used the probe or convection feature yet, but made one of our family favorite baked pork chops & apple dishes and it turned out great. Cook time was right on. Only con would be it takes a while to heat up to temp. So if you use the start and end time feature add 5-10 minutes to the cook time so your dish will be done when you need it to be done. Not 10 minutes later. That's my only complaint and it is just a matter of getting accustomed to it.
Pros: Convenient Features, easy to use, Design, Performance, love the pretty blue interior

Slow to preheat and does not maintain temperature

After reading the other entries, I am not sure how this oven got to "4.1" average points. It is a very nice-looking appliance, but it takes a very long time to preheat (15-20 mins to get to 350 degrees), and does not maintain its temperature. Once the door is opened, the oven does not return to the original temperature. If you then cancel the bake cycle and start it over, the oven will preheat again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought our wall oven a month ago and really enjoy using it. The window is very big enabling you to view the entire oven. The oven lights (2) are really bright. We have used the convection features frequently and they cook evenly and save cooking time.
