Okay, not great

The unit required a replacement part from the start. The part that was replaced was warped and made a louder than normal fan sound. It's okay now with a quieter fan sound. The microwave does t heat as quickly as I would like, taking about two minutes for 8 oz water to boil, and the cooling fan runs until you open the oven ... annoying. We had the Architect series in our last home and loved our built-in combo. I don't understand why KitchenAide changed it, the "improvements" are rather disappointing. Though not crazy about the built-in combo oven, I will add that we are super happy with our Architect II dishwasher AND 4-door refrigerator
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall it works well. My one problem is that the microwave fan does not automatically turn off when the cook time is complete, but continues until you open the door to remove the food.

We just installed this micro/oven unit in our remodeled kitchen. We love the look, the features and the function. The only complaint is the microwave is very noisy and the fan runs until the food is removed. The signal that the microwave is complete only rings once so we often think it is is running.

I had intended to purchase a regular microwave/oven combo but decided to go a step farther and went with convection in both. LOVE it. It is so easy - I don't even have to figure anything out, just push the buttons as to what I would cook something in a regular oven and it converts it to convection cooking.
