Great refrigerator

I bought this refrigerator early December when my other one died. I had been looking to replace it earlier in the year. I had a space constraint. I love the brightness & the ability to put larger items (milk) in the door. I also like the ice maker in the door of the freezer which opens more space for frozen foods.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What a headache

I had this refrigerator for 4 years, for the last year or so the water dispenser didn’t work 100% of the time. It was like a game, is it going to dispense or not. I was told it was the water filter so I purchase the recommended brand it would work then stop again. It would freeze food in the refrigerator size, no the vents are not blocked. Now the drip pan overflows all over the floor. I’m not willing to call repairman and spend good money after bad. Guess what if I buy a new one in the next week or so, it will not be a whirlpool.

Ice maker is a nightmare

We’ve had this since 2013 and it has mostly performed to expectations. With that said, I don’t think I would recommend to any friends or purchase another Whirlpool refrigerator. The ice maker makes ice about 2 hours a month. I have defrosted the line several times and the maker works for about 3 hours. Seems crazy that the line would continue to freeze! Also seems crazy that I would have to defrost the line daily just to get ice.

Major Ice Maker Disappointment

We have owned this model for six years, Model WRS965CIAM00. The ice trays from time to time overflow and the water doesn't shut off unless I depress the lever for the water on the outside of the door. Technicians have replaced everything they can think of replacing. Some parts twice. The last part changed at the base of the ice maker on the door stopped the issue for over a year until today when the same old issue happened. Luckily I was home to stop the water flow. Of course the extended warranty has expired. We are totally disappointed and tired of shutting the ice maker off when we are not in the same room to keep the water from flooding our house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lot's of room; excellent lighting; stylish; somewhat noisey.

We like how stylish this refrigerator is, in particular the excellent lighting when you open the doors. Both refrigerator and freezer are very roomy and we have a "counter depth" model. Lots of nice features: easy to set temps; ice selection; calibrate the amount ( in oz.) of water being dispensed. Only problem is the noise level. You can really here the compressor and the water refill is particularly noisy.

I think the fridge is okay. The shelf under the wine rack could be lower, it doesn't fit much. The directions/manual or poor. I am sure I can do more with the fridge than I am currently doing, but the manual does not explain things very well. For example, the water from the door is warm, I want it cold. Can I change that? I don't know.
