Awful stove!

Had it installed in new home- touch pad has frozen most times when used- have had repairmen here constantly. Already going on 3rd new touch pad installed in less than 6 months- have heard software is not good
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Previous Kitchenaid was an older model of the series in white--came with the house we purchased. Decided upon the same model but stainless as I also added a stainless steel dishwasher and side by side refrigerator--all Kitchenaid. All look great in the kitchen and perform very well. I have not used the microwave convection portion yet to bake so I cannot comment. Oven performs beautifully as did the last Kitchenaid oven The touch controls on top are a bit different from the previous model and I am still in the learning curve. Having quality products in the kitchen that perform well and look good are important to someone who enjoys cooking as I do and will definitely be a plus come resale of the home

Came with House.. nice Oven. Temp Issues

Overall I love the features of this oven combo. The rollout tray is great, as is having 2 convection ovens if needed. The interface is easy to use and overall works fine.. there are a few items however that bug me:
1) Not being able to enter a time for the Microwave... seems you always have to use a preset or the 1 minute button. Could not figure out an easy way to microwave for say 30 seconds.
2) Single Timer. The oven combo has a timer, but it is only a single timer.. useful if you have one item in an oven, but often we have two dishes and need separate timers... should at least be one for upper and one for lower oven.
3) The biggest issue is the Temp. I've purchased several 'oven' thermometers to see what is going on and it seems the oven never stays a constant temp. I can preheat the oven to say 350, and as soon as the buzzer beeps, I stop it entirely and tell it to preheat again... my old oven would right away say it's at the 350 temp... this one seems to start at around 312-325.. it's never 350. I then verified with an oven thermometer and while it does get up to the proper temp, it seems to wait until the temp is down about 25 degrees before it attempts to bring back up the heat. When I asked the installer about it, he said it was calibrated correctly and that's "just the way this oven works". My old 12 year old oven kept better temps.

I bought this a month ago. It takes awhile to learn all the features but is well worth it! I feel like Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, now. It does take awhile to preheat though

We recently did a full renovation our kitchen and bought all KitchenAid appliances. This microwave has some great automatic settings. The reheat for meals and beverages is right on. The oven is extremely well lit and very large. It takes a little time to get used to using a broiler where you close the oven door to broil.
If there is one thing I would have liked is to have the control panel buttons to be backlit.
This is a very sleek, high end looking appliance ... that works as good as it looks
