Problem with soap dispenser

This washer replaces a 35 year old Maytag, so we had a lot of new technology to learn. The only problem that we can't solve is that the liquid dispenser leaks soap down the front of the washer, even though we are careful not to fill above the line on the plastic tub.

Had the previous generation of Duet and went back to Duet with recommendations from service technicians and there experience with how little to no service complaints for this model.

I love this washing machine. I ran out of laundry to do --- I couldn't get enough of it! The men in my family love it too --- easy to use, they don't have to worry about how much detergent to put it with the preload basin. One of the best purchases I have made in a looonnnnggg time!! Very happy, happy, happy with this machine!

Overall a good product

Lots of choices for wash & dry cycles but frustrating that not all options are available on all cycles. For instance some dryer cycles do not allow you to choose the static control option-why? Steam option is only available on some--and the steam refresh can't be set for less than 30 minutes.All current advice from repairmen & sales folks says stay away from liquid detergents to avoid problems, yet manufacturers continue to make machines made to use liquids. For this much money, it seems as if they could make liquids that don't cause buildup & mold problems in washers, or build washers that can handle the liquid soaps.Wash cycles seem to clean well, but take a long time on each cycle.

I love the fact that I do not have to worry about how much detergent to put in because of the automatic dispensing.It's very gentle washing the clothes.The spin cycle is excellent, the clothes take less time to dry, a real plus.

Liked modern design and advanced features

I think the dispensad should have a clear plastic top. You would not have to open it to see if it was full or not. Also the lights on the front are difficult to see in a darkened laundry room. Other than these two things the machine is perfect.
