Great washer

Have had it 2 weeks- it's great! Works well. Clothes really clean and almost dry when done.

Great replacements

My wife and I purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer set one month ago. These units replaced a 15 year old set of Whirlpool Duet machines. To date the machines have been working perfectly and we are happy with our purchase. We are happy with the Whirlpool build quality, design, and innovations.

precision dispenser

Got the washer and dryer December 2013. The machines impressed me and was looking for things to wash!! Four months later the dispenser started to leak into the machine. Had to put a cloth on the bottom rubber and leave door open. Could not fill the dispenser of course so tried to put enough detergent in to wash for one load of laundry. Got machine replaced and HOPE this will not happen again as I do like the duets!!!!

Better then expected

I had High Efficiency front load washer before, but this one really uses very little water. Since I use HE detergent in powder form,I still need to get use to put less detergent, because If I put too much the washer will not rinse it off completely. But I like it that it uses less water and need less detergent. The other smart thing is that it has 'Fan Dry' function, that after the washing cycle completes, it ventilates the moisture out. I have to be honest, I haven't tried the steam mode in the washer. The button in in the opposite side of the panel (near detergent drawer) and I always forget to turn it on :) And another thing I am not very happy that this washer does not have ''rinse and spin'' cycle. Also the drum makes funny sound on each turn and before spinning. I suppose they put in some king of smart self balancing balls inside it to prolong the life of the bearings.

Changing the world order, one front load washer at a time

So I replaced my 10 year old washing machine during the summer when my teen age granddaughter was away at summer camp. I knew she'd bring a load of dirty clothes home so I was prepared. When she saw the machine function after the first load, she did the rest of her laundry and that of everyone else in the house...hasn't stopped yet! It's the lights, the sounds, the speed, the quiet functions, everything a teenager doing laundry would wish for in their world. Even my husband gets a chance to dump in his fishing clothes from time to time. This has changed the world order in our house.

Overall a good washer.

I purchased this 6 months ago and have been pleased overall. I love the detergent holder/dispenser. Now Whirlpool needs to add one for the fabric softener. The only thing I do not like is that the wash cycles are extremely long. It takes an hour or more for some of the cycles.

We LOVE our new washer and the matching dryer. The amazing features have made our life so much easier. The precision dispense is very easy to use and eliminates accidentally adding too much detergent and extra clutter in the laundry area. It actually feels like our clothes are getting cleaner. One thing that we had to do with the front load W&D is built them up so that we do not have to bend over to remove our clothes. I love doing laundry now!!
