Awesome Washer!!!

I LOVE this washer!!! I have had it for almost 5 months now. Even though I love it and I would have loved to give it a 5-star rating across, I do have one complaint with one of its features. When the load is finished, the signal for it is very soft and only goes off twice. If other people who have this washer and know if there's a way I can adjust it to a louder sound and it would go off more than two times??? I would welcome any tip.Other than that particular complaint, this machine is AWESOME!!!

Another great Duet

I bought this in late December after my original Duet finally gave out. I've been very happy with it. There was some issue initially due to the installer not leveling it properly, so the door wouldn't stay cracked open to ensure it dried inside (to avoid the smell that can happen). Couldn't believe how quiet it is!

The best so far

These are the best so far, but we have only had them for a month and a half. *There is a (minor) design flaw; if you stack the pair (depending on your height), the On/Off button is very sensitive, not offset, and is easily activated. The machine doesn't start out of control or anything like that, it's just a pain to turn back off almost every time you move clothes from the washer to the dryer, or turn back on a load you just started. The soap dispensing function turns out to be a very cool feature, needs a refill about every five loads depending on load size. It's nice to just toss laundry in, select setting, push button and go. The fan in the washer is also a very nice feature (very, very nice feature).

Great cleaning results

Had to re-learn with the features but very easy to do because of the instruction booklet, clearly explained and well worth the short amount of time to assimilate the wonderful features. Love the water-saving, quietness, and dispensing aspects, showing it off to family and friends, really developing a great deal of interest. We now realize how much time we wasted with our 11-year-old Maytag where it did a great cleaning job but used lots of water and we had to go during features to add bleach, soap, softener.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is our second pair of Whirlpool Duets. My first pair I had for 10 years with NOT ONE PROBLEM. Well, things do tend to get older and wear down over the years, I'm a good example of that. I started to hear some sounds that I hadn't heard before from either the washer or the dryer. I had purchased a pair of Duets for my mother-in-law 2 months before and she LOVES them. I even tried a few loads in them and knew I wanted a pair as well. So, donated the older pair to a friend and got a newer pair. My friend said he paid about $400 to have the older pair repaired and cleaned and they still work great. I've never had any "smell" problems with my older pair that others talk about and don't expect to with the newer pair. They might have costed more than a regular washer/dryer set but I believe that you get what you pay for and in this case, very high quality. I highly recommend Whirlpool appliances to anyone and so would my mother-in-law.

Love the precision dispense and fan fresh features!

This washer makes the task of doing laundry so much easier. The precision dispense feature saves time and effort by eliminating an entire step in the laundry process. I just load the clothes, choose my settings, and go! I could never again own another washer without this feature. The fan fresh option is great too. I can wash clothes in the morning and return at the day's end without worry of mildew on our clothing. It's perfect for a busy family lifestyle. I have even had out-of-town visitors remark how clean their clothing is after using our washer. I absolutely love this product and would highly recommend it!!

Is easy to use!

We have been using the Duet Washer and Dryer for 9 months and are very happy with it, I love the soap dispenser, you only have to fill it once and get about 6 or 7 loads from it! It is very quite when operating. We did start to smell an odor and then ran the sanitize cycle and have not been using liquid fabric softener and that has helped alot, no odor. We do keep the washer door open after we do a load.

Revolutionized my clothes washing experience.

I have been using a washer dryer unit for the last 20 years that did the job, but was typically an experiment to get everything right to have clothes washed well and not over/under dried. Now regardless of the variations, the load is done well and I have done little to figure it out.
