The machine isn't as smart as it thinks

This appliance not only has too few ??? if any ??? options to customize settings, it is far too temperamental. Failing to touching the controls in a certain way causes problems, most times it must be turned off and on again to change a cycle. Overall, the machine's sensors are meant to make it smarter than humans, but it's not. In spite of telling it that our detergent is super (6x) strong and diluting the detergent, it still dispenses too much in the delicate cycle. All in all ??? including three service visits which basically underscored the quirks you have to live with ??? the performance isn't worth the price, any price. I would say the same for the companion dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought the whirlpool washer a couple of months ago and my family couldn't be happier with the performance and features, in particukar, automatic detergent dispenser. The spin cycle is so quiet I can hardly hear it running. Also love the touch buttons. Great machine!

I really like the detergent dispenser. However, I am puzzled by the lack of a standard cycle for my most common laundry load: sheets, towels, and personal items that I would like to wash in less than an hour. The only cycles that I want to use do not allow changes to individual features, and are recommended for just 3-4 items. I think I should be able to wash a load in 30-35 minutes.
