This is a replacement item for an older and damaged cooktop from another manufacturer. So fat this is an excellent cooktop with sturdy knobs, off to the side for easy clean-up. I enjoy having the multi-size burners, and believe me, thwy are fast acting!

Love using this cooktop, but EVERY single time you use it be ready to clean it. Whether you are boiling water, or just simmering something, it will be dirty. Everyone spot, spill or splatter shows big time. You have to clean it after every single use and it is such a pain! I'm not an OCD clean freak, but this cooktop stays dirty in my house. Every single time we cook...it's a mess.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have had KitchenAid appliances for years. We relocated and remodeled our kitchen and installed a new KitchenAid dishwasher, convention wall oven and microwave/convection oven combination and cook top. We could not be more pleased. All appliances are performing flawlessly and look great. We have not gotten a new refrigerator yet but look forward to getting a KitchenAid French door unit also.
