I have had this cooktop for about a month now. I love having the 2 high speed elements. They do heat up much faster than the regular ones. I also like having the dual burner. It's great for my large skillets. Overall, I have been very pleased with this cooktop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I removed a 4 year old GE cooktop because we could not get and even temperature from the cooktop. If you just wanted to melt or simmer, it was next to impossible without standing right over it and watching it cook. The new KitchenAid cooktop is fantastic. We can get exactly the correct temperature for whatever we want to cook!

I have had this cooktop for almost 2 months now and am very happy with its performance. It is easy to clean and always looks great. I had gas in my prior home so this took a little getting used to, but I have no regrets with having purchased this item

I've had this cooktop for about a month now. No offense to kitchen aid, but I really don't like working with an electric cooktop. Here in Florida, most homes do not offer gas cooktops. It does the job and does respond fairly quickly when turning the heat up or down. It's pretty easy to clean. I do light the fact that there is an indicator light to let you know that the cooktop can still be hot.

Good but not as good as my 15 year old model

PRO - Its a cooktop - it gets hot. CONS - (1) Outline of burner surfaces are hard to see. Old unit has a pattern in the glass and the elements had a different pattern - that was easy. This is just the same high gloss finish with a hard to see burner outline. (2) Very hard to clean - old unit was trivial to clean. The pattern in the old unit made streaking a non problem. This unit has high gloss glass. No way to clean it with windex. Need to use a white paste polish. Needs to be done EVERY night or it becomes impossible to clean. Far more effort involved than in the 15 year old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
