Beautiful ovens, great controls and features, but ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This oven replaces our older Kitchenaid. The old oven suffered (from day one) from an unuseable self-clean feature. It twice blew the electronics protection fuse. We manually cleaned the oven after that. Everything about the new oven is great -- the extended rack, the controls, the large glass door fronts, and many menu items. However, the engineers put in a cooling fan for the electronics that is fairly noisey. It runs for 3-5 minutes after the oven is turned off, even with the door left open a little. All of this would be acceptable except for the actual sound the fan makes. It was OK through Halloween, but the high-pitched wail of a Banshee gets old after a while. It's not really that loud, but the wailing sort of rises and falls. I thought of calling an exorcist, but will probably call the dealer just to check it out. We have yet to use the self-clean feature, so that evaluation will have to wait.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used both the convection and broiler and it works great! Watch out of cook times because this cooks a bit faster than most run of the mill ovens. Error on the side of less time by 5 minutes until you get use to it. Also, the fan runs on the ovens for about 45 minutes after you turn the ovens off to cool itself down. So it does make some noise.
Cons: fan running long after
