Great but Fan is Noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this oven over 5 years ago and when we moved my wife insisted on this make and model again. The fan noise is very annoying to me but my wife doesn't mind (she's use to tuning out noise ;-]) The fan runs long after oven is off in order to keep electronics from over heating. I also do not like that the oven light does not have an upper / lower capability.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trying not to be long-winded... I must say this is the best cooking/baking oven I have had in the past 50 years: Tappen, Viking, GE, and now this Kitchen Aid. I couldn't be happier. The oven itself is gorgeous, it cooks evenly, it's even pretty on the inside. The touch screen takes some getting used to for us "older people" and that's the only reason I didn't rate "ease of use" and "features" as excellent. As I get more used to the touch screen and features.... I'm sure I will rate them as excellent as well. I certainly wish there were something better then excellent for "performance". This oven goes beyond excellent in performance. Thank you Kitchen Aid for such a great product.
Pros: Performance, Design
Cons: THERE ARE NO CONS

Good Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oven has a nice appearance and so far the temperatures are very accurate. As mentioned in other reviews the internal cooling fan makes some noise when the oven is on and for 10-20 minutes after turn off. In my opinion some simple engineering could solve this noise problem. Also the convection fan runs for some functions when only the regular oven is selected. The manual mentions this but does not explain in exactly what modes it might run or why so the user is not sure if it is broken or operating correctly. As explained by the technician who also had to call the factory, there is an additional heating element behind the convection fan that comes on when set to "convection" mode. That heating element does not heat during the "regular" modes but the fan might be running to spread the temperature more evenly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The double ovens are large enough for the large pizza stones and they are the 30" models. The baking is even and accurate. Very nice ovens.
I replaced a white kitchen Aid double oven with stainless. A neighbor wanted the white one when I switched to stainless.
This double oven is great.
Pros: Performance, Innovative, Design, easy to use, Convenient Features

Nice oven but noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement oven for a previous KitchenAid. Part of the motivation to purchase this was that the size was an exact match and would require no cabinet modifications. The updated version has many nice features but one major drawback is the noisy cooling fan. This fan not only runs during cooking operation but also for 30 plus minutes after shutdown. We have a two year old Whirlpool oven in a second home that has similar features, including a very quiet cooling fan. I read about the noisy cooling fan before purchasing but I hoped that KitchenAid would have made improvements. Unfortunately they have not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great oven but it does take a while for it to preheat. The cool down process is pretty loud....I'm assuming it's some type of fan blowing in the back.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A remodel of our 24 year old kitchen enabled me to go stainless. I had this exact same double oven in white and it was still working just fine when we replaced it. I love the stainless and the blue interior. Most importantly I count on the the reliability of my kitchenaid appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This double oven is everything we hoped it would be, easy to use, efficient, great looking and just the right amount of gadgetry. The fan noise is a little more noticeable but not detrimental. I highly recommend it.
