We have had our oven since august. We had an issue when one morning I went to make cinnamon rolls and the oven would not turn on. We had the repair man come and replace a fuse and it was fine for the time. Then in the middle of thanksgiving the oven stopped working again. This all happen after our kitchenaid refrigerator was fixed for the third time. We picked kitchenaid for the quality, big mistake.

We purchased the KitchenAid® 30-Inch Convection Single Wall Oven, Architect® Series II as part of an entire kitchen renovation. We have installed all KitchenAid appliances; Convec/Microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, 5 burner inductive cook top, and coffee maker. All appliances are working well with the exception of this Convection Single Wall oven. It takes a VERY long time to pre heat and is not providing uniform heating during bake. We are disappointed with it's performance and would not recommend this appliance. We did not expect this from what we consider to be very nice high quality products.

We moved 19 times in 30 years in the Navy and never had an oven problem. We remodelled our kitchen 6 years ago, installed this oven because it matched our other Kitchenaid products, and are now on our second problem, not covered by warranty. If you bake vegetables or any other food that generates humidity you will short out the temperature probe. You will get an ERR readout and not be able to bake. Seems like a major design flaw that Kitchenaid hasn't resolved. Ovens are supposed to be reliable. This model isn't.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes, we had to have the fan replaced IMMEDIATELY after installation. Yes, it takes FOREVER to heat up and cool down, and the VERY NOISY fan stays on the entire time. Forget dinner conversation if you want to eat in the kitchen. And NO, it does not bake evenly. You still have to turn a tray around mid-way through baking. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HASSLE -- BUY SOMETHING ELSE. If I could have given this a -5 rating I would have. It is worse than "Poor".

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 15 year old Thermador oven died and could not be repaired. Because of the KitchenAid dishwasher that came with the house we bought, my wife wanted to keep the same brand name for aesthetic reasons mainly. Well this oven is really superb on many levels such as look, ease of use and efficiency. My wife and I are really happy with our purchase and to see that smile on my wife's face, made me buy the KitchenAid Kettle KEK1522.
