I am taking this product back right now. I know I saw online that it had more features but when I hooked it up I found it has only a very limited amount of apps and thats it. All the "smart" wording in the advertising is misleading as it really refers to being about to use a smart phone as a remote control.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good but not great

Liked the overall features and quality but was a bit surprised that the Streaming apps were very limited (no Hulu). The biggest problem I had was that it had difficulty maintaining the WiFi linkage despite other appliances managing this without problems.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality

Okay for your money

This product is okay for the money, but why spend extra money for something that is internet ready and will not allow you to add apps. The only options this gives you is Netflix, Vudu, Weather, Youtube, and Picasa. If you are looking for an internet ready devise get another, this one is no better then a basic no internet one.

Good for Blu ray but it lacks quality on upscaling

I just bought this player a few days ago, I wanted an lg because a couple of years ago a bought a BD530 and had the greates quality in dvd's, blu rays and youtube.
So I set up my blu ray and I am surprised that the upscaling was very bad in DVD's, Youtube or Netflix.
The quelity on blu ray and 3D is supeb, so if you are buying this product to play Blu ray only, you should do it.
Maybe later there will be a new firmware that fix this issue.

I purchased this item because the box showed that it had Hulu. When I hooked up everything Hulu was not available in this model. I feel that this was very misleading. Very disappointed.

This 3D blu ray player is outstanding. It has great features and is excellent quality. LG has convinced me that they make great products that are quite affordable!

I was very pleased to be able to get a Blue Ray player at such a reasonable price and have WI-FI. Easy to use. I don't NetFlix or the likes but it works greaqt with the DVDs I have.

I did quite a bit of research before deciding to buy this unit. I found it to work just great. Easy to setup, easy to use, quickly loads and plays dvd's with wonderful picture quality in all modes, including 3D. WIFI and all features work just fine, so I consider this an exceptional value. Very happy with it.
