Waiting on new firmware with more streaming apps

I almost bought a cheaper LG bluray player that had no apps and no internet connection at all, because it would play all the media files I wanted. Then I found this model that also has wired and wireless connections and a small selection of online apps (Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, AccuWeather, Picasa). I think this is a great little bluray player.
I am hoping for a firmware upgrade to add Hulu, Pandora, Amazon, Blockbuster, and maybe even more like HBOGo and other similar streaming apps. This product's box and (currently) details on LG.com accurately states what apps are included, but it is true that as of today I can find many online retailers that state this player has many more streaming apps than it actually has. I am really hoping LG puts out a firmware upgrade to at least add Pandora and Hulu or in some way let us know that this will never happen so we know if we should just wait or return these players and get something with more apps if we prefer.
To the buyer that says the wireless setup wants IP addresses for DNS and such, it does not. Specifying specific IP addresses is optional. Look at what is on screen a little closer and just go past that screen.
I would recommend this player to anyone okay with the currently limited number of streaming apps on it. The non-streaming features/capabilities are VERY NICE and very compatible with bluray, dvd, HD file formats, MP4/M4V/XviD/DivX/MKV...and I believe WMV (have not tried this yet)...from burned CDs, burned DVDs or USB drive. Works VERY well.
I have not had any troubles with setup or with losing settings as someone else stated. What is there works GREAT!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

You have to enter network password every time:(

I loved this player until I turned it on a second time. Having to go through network setup every time is a flaw in the player not a defect. Online chat says you need to change your router settings. I say I need to return this player for a different model. Great picture, great price.
I don't have any other wi-fi devices that require password entry every time.
Pros: Features/Settings, network password

A little disappointed

One of the reasons I bought this DVD player is because, according to their website, there was access to both Amazon Movies, and Pandora Music. Niether are available now. I will be returning this product because of this.

Original Specs misrepresented product.

The original specs on the player on both this site and all of the vendor sites I checked stated that the player had a lot more apps than it actually does. Including Hulu+, which was a reasonably large deciding factor in my purchase of this unit.
Pros: Price, Netflix, Price, WiFi
Cons: WiFi takes a minute or two to connect every time you turn it on. Remote needs to be pointed directly at the unit, which in a living room with a wrap around couch causes me some grief. No Hulu+....
Final Thoughts: Overall a good unit. I always choose LG when I can due to the consistant quality of their products. Does what the now corrected product information says it does very well. Personally unsatisfied as it doesn't fulfill the role I bought it for. Would still recommend now that specs are fixed and you know what you're buying.
Pros: easy to use, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small size works well for the bedroom TV; nice cosmetic look; doesn't look cheap; great picture quality; easy set up; nice remote; wi-fi works fine; I'd like to see a few more apps, but a great price for a blu-ray player with wi-fi.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

easy to connect and great picture

Bought this about a month ago, had it unboxed and up via the WiFi in a matter of minutes. Connected within a minute to NetFlix and YouTubes. WiFi connect has been great, only lost the connection once and my access point is at the other end of the house. Playing discs or off and external hard drive connected via the usb port works great. Very happy, great value, the only disappointment was the lack of Hulu and Pandora, which it appears that a lot of other people who bought this expected based on the advertising.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought one for myself and one for a gift for Christmas.. I have had no problems what-so-ever on mine- I LOVE IT ! I shopped them and the LG won out, it's very compact and very affordable and easy to use. I like the wireless- built in. It upscales the DVD's that are played also. Great picture.
