I have had mine installed for about a week. I can't believe how quiet it is. You wouldn't know it was even on if you weren't working on it. The only reason I gave it less than 5 stars on performance is that it rated 5.9 on the Windows Experience Index in the disk data transfer rate. The Windows 7 OS is so much better than Vista. Now I am trying to talk myself into buying some Beats headphones to tap into that feature. I don't write reviews but felt compelled to share my experience.

This is a sleek, full-featured, and lightning fast product. Another review somewhere else said the red glow from the CPU was confusing - funny, we find it to be striking and dramatic.
Set up was pretty easy. Data transfer was pretty smooth, though moving some older programs to Windows 7 may be a bit more problematic. Love the new USB 3.0 inputs for future product/uses. To customize, we found particular value in upgrading/adding: a little faster processor (to I5-2400); a bit more RAM (to 8GB); maximizing USB inputs in both front and rear for versatility/convenience; a wireless LAN; and, a TV tuner (to allow continued use with a DirecTV receiver for split-screen viewing).
This would have been a hands-down five star rating, but for the persistent disk failures when trying to burn recovery disks. We'll try using a flash drive. Based on our new computer, our past experiences with HP products and support after the sale, we would recommend both this HPE h8 unit and the customizing (CTO) process.
Well done once again, HP!!

everything works great, it's still alittle early to tell about any long term use. But so fare so good. I'm still mab about how they wont help me with the monitor that has a bad pixel!!

I likie My computer, But i wish HP would install the software i order, so i know the machine is running as it should be, When I i set it up..I am sure, i am not the only person who feels that way. Otherwsie I like my machine

Replaced a 9 year old HP with this and I'm very pleased. I bought the base configuration as it had everything I wanted and should be able to upgrade it for many years.

I just bought this PC and I am loving it. i customized it with a HDMI graphics cord and Blu-ray player and I in love with it. Super fast, sleek and quite simply amazing. Even though I had trouble formatting the screen resolution to my TV using the Windows setup but the HP software made doing it no problem.
The Beats Audio sound quality is superb as well.
