[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 90W lightweight, perfect for travel. Do beware that on higher-end models this charger will not keep up with battery draw while using the laptop. I use it to recharge during idle time while traveling.

A real mess

I really don't know what I should do. Should I buy another adapter or another battery? I just purchased a ThinkPad E550 but the battery sent by Lenovo isn't recognized by the laptop except as unauthorized or invalid. At first I thought it was the battery. After I examined it I checked Amazon for a suitable battery and found one but it was the same battery! Then it occurred to me that the problem might be the AC adapter. It works fine running the laptop. It provides 65 watts. My primary suspect was still the battery until I noticed the ads for 90 watt adapters for the E550. Is that the reason the battery won't re-charge? Did they send the wrong adapter? It runs fine on 65 watts but is more power needed for re-charging the battery? Don't misunderstand. I like the laptop. I don't regret the purchase of the ThinkPad E550 or the upgrades requested but Lenovo missed a step in the processing of my order.

Too Big and Too Heavy!

Too big and Too Heavy for such a beautiful and light laptop from Lenovo. X1 Carbon is great, but the whole experience is destroyed by this big and heavy charger. Design team should better talk with each other before making a product.
