Epson Expression XP-600 all in one

The printer has a lot of quirks that one has to get used to. First, Epson insists that the paper output tray be fully extended before it will print anything. The tray doesn't slide in or out easily. Second, for some strange reason when using the copy function, it doesn't allow for plain paper copying. The only paper I ever saw for copying were matte, semi-glossy, and glossy paper. Really odd. And now all of a sudden the status monitor is crashing with windows and will not let me print anything. I bought the printer back in May and now in October when trying to print the unit crashes. I've updated the driver and everything else Epson reccomended. A 3 star rating may be too nice.

Good printer for the price!

I bought the Epson Expression XP-600 to replace our Epson Artisan 700. Although the printing, both text and photo, is excellent, the paper trays and output tray seem a bit flimsy. When setting up the printer, remember that priming the ink tanks uses up almost all of the ink in the included cartridges, so be sure and have extras on hand. The only real issue I have is that I wish it still included the Epson Easy Print software because what comes with the printer doesn't have many options..

Replacing ink cartridges is a nightmare!!!

I have never been more disappointed in a printer. Aside from slow - it is impossible to get the printer to recognize a replacement ink cartridge. The cartridge carrier (print head) does not move properly to input the XL Black cart.
This model should be pulled off retail shelves. I will NEVER purchase an Epson product again.

SD card access

Overall great print quality, fairly easily connected to other wireless devices in the home, including an iPad. Am disappointed the mulit-SD card reader feature does not seem to allow me to access SD cards back through a computer which is connected to the printer. It seems card reading is soley for the purpose of printing picutres.

This All-in-One is an ink-hog and after 3 months the printer heads are defective. Probably won't get that money back.

OK, when it prints well, but it usually doesn't

Like so many other home printers that I've owned from Epson, the XP-600 is a great printer when it works properly. Unfortunately, it does not take long for these smaller Epson printers to develop problems. The previous Epson I had (an Epson Artisan 835) was also a great printer for printing directly to DVDs, until less than a year in it stopping printing completely. I purchased the XP-600 to replace this printer. Now that we are coming up on 1 year I find yet another Epson All-In-One that simply can't cut it even when only moderately used. While the printer does still work, it now prints a black smudge streak down the center of DVDs and when using the "Fine" printing set it simply will not print most of the text. This, despite cleaning the heads. In sum, I have lost confidence in Epson's consumer products which I find very undependable. While their professional model printers are quite good and very durable, these types of models are for the most part not worth the effort. As I look for a new printer for printing the occasional direct-to-DVD label I will not be looking at what Epson has to offer.

Epson xp 600 review

The printer works OK However printing photos does not work well at all. There are lines thru the pictures and also places where the ink builds up and it looks like a blob on the picture. Not happy at all with picture printing.

I Love it ! It's simple to use, even for me. It has everything you need in one small package. I recommend it fully.
