My new Epson 600

My new printer/scanner is a remarkable machine. It definitely has superior print quality.
This is what my printer is not. I am visually impaired, severely and the print control window is much too small for me to use efficiently or even correctly. With a lot of practice I have figured out the differences between print mode and copy mode.
Because I am not an average type user I understand the control specifications do not meet my needs as compared to the average user. Somehow that disconnect got lost in translation at the store where I bought it.
By enlarging the user's manual I have slowly been able to work my way through the maze of operating instructions. Time consuming process but not impossible.
As a general observation even if I was fully sighted I would find the operating procedures to be more complex and less intuitive than I think they could be. To be fair I am not a computer engineer so the controls may be as simple and intuitive as current technology allows.
As I continue to learn to use my printer I am more and more satisfied. One final suggestion, don't ever use the words "simple" or "easy" when describing operating instructions.

poor directions

this is my 3rd epson printer. I have some trouble understanding what the pictures are at home. Kind of a bit of noise when printing. I haven't printed any pictures and that was my main selling point. I haven't printed much and this morning my one page was light. Hope it improves.

So far the printer has performed as expected and stated.
However, I have not set the printer up for WiFi use, so I am not quite sure how it will perform on my home network.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The XP-600 is one great machine. It is very easy to use, reliable and provides good quality. It can fit into smaller spaces, but still provides great functionality - very good design. I would recommend this printer.

My first printer out of the box did not work and the on -line tech took me through a lengthy diagnoses. However, my exchange printer set up easily and has worked flawlessly ever since.

This is a very nice printer but there are 2 areas I do not like. THE PRINTER USES TOO MUCH INK!! and printer ink is not locally available.
