Outstanding performance from Epson XP-600

I purchased the XP-600 several months ago to replace a failing ink-jet printer from another manufacturer. The new printer installed easily and immediately performed above expectations.
Within weeks, the computer gave up the ghost and the XP-600 again installed easily in the new desktop unit.
The only glitches encountered with the Epson have been the results of mistakes made by the user. In every case, alerts and displayed instructions assisted in quickly resolving the problems.
This is the 4th printer I have owned in 16 years and it is unquestionably the very best.
I would heartily recommend the Epson XP-600 to anyone interested in economical high quality document and photo printing

An Outstanding Wireless Printer

We replaced an Epson Artisan 700 with this one when we replaced our iMac with a new one. The setup and integration with or wireless network was very easy and the printer functions well. Printing from our iPad and iPhones is also a snap. The photo quality is comparable to the outstanding prints we used to get with the Artisan 700. It is also fast and quiet.

With all the features this printer is hard to beat for the price. Awesome photo quality. My favorite thing is that while the ink is relatively cheap it has a high yield.

This is the first time we've used a printer with multiple cartridges. Thought we might be able to go a little longer between replacement since we mainly use black/white or grayscale, but that theory hasn't held. We rarely print in color, but those cartridges are indicating needing replacement after only a few months of use. The black cartridge gets used up very quickly - more often than previous printers that did not have separate color cartridges.
This printer is a little slow to start up; can't be in a huge hurry to print something.
It's a little annoying to have to pull the tray out every time you print. Along those lines, the ability to send something to the printer via email is a handy feature, but if no one is physically at the printer to pull that tray out, your job will (obviously) not actually print.
The sound (beeps, etc.) are kind of loud. Is there any way to adjust the volume? I tend to print after kiddos are in bed and it does bother them.
I gave the printer three stars because it does do what it's supposed to do - print. But I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.
