great printer not for scanning

I had a lot of difficulty scanning I had to call the help desk to set it up more difficult than I thought it would be.

I have had nothing but trouble with the Epson XP600. After less than 6 months, the print quality is horrible. It prints with white, yellow and pink horizontal lines across the page. I am continually having to do maintenance in order to get a decent copy. I have spent a fortune on ink. The XP600 is hugely disappointing. I will never buy an Epson printer again.

Very disappointing...

I bought this printer for relatively non-intensive use, and had high hopes from the the get-go. The actual design of the printer looks great from the outside, but when it comes time to actually print you have to move all the trays around and align certain parts perfectly to avoid error messages. When you send the command to print anything, you get about 5 minutes of clicks and noises before it actually begins the job. And finally, even with brand new ink, the print quality is sloppy and inconsistent. I am sad I didn't use this printer enough to realize how bad it actually is within the first 30 days of having it. I won't likely buy an Epson printer again, if this is indicative of the nature and quality of their products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I do not like this printer at all. Everything about it is slow, from turning it on and off to the actual printing of documents. I would return it if I could.

Worst Epson Printer Ever

I have always had Epson printers. They have always worked amazingly. This printer has been nothing but trouble for me and my friend who bought the same one. Not only does the ink not last very long but the print quality (when you can actually get a decent picture printed) is poor. I constantly get lines going across the print and continually have to clean the print heads. By doing this it uses up so much of the ink that I am constantly buying new cartridges. Just recently I replaced the wrong black ink cartridge since strangely, this printer has two black ink cartridges. Now the one I replaced refuses to print at all. I have taken it out, replaced it and still it won't print at all. I have now cleaned the print heads so many times that all the new cartridges that I just replaced are almost out of ink. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!!! The only reliable part of it is the wireless. That works really well. I could have bought one of the really expensive printers (which have never failed me in the past) with all the money I've spent on ink on this one.

Very Disappointing

I have always been very pleased with the Epson printers I have had in the past, so had no reason to expect that my new XP-600 would not perform every bit as well.
Unfortunately I was wrong. It apparently goes through ink at record speed, as I have barely had this machine a month and already have had to replace 2 ink cartridges. And, to add insult to injury, this machine gives ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING that the ink is about to run out. So, from now on I will have to stock backup cartridges. Needless to say I am very disappointed, and will probably go with another brand next time I need a printer.

Printing from a mobile device is below standards (lack of options - difficult setup), first black ink cartridge was dry after one day; After 3 emails & 2 weeks, Epson sent a new cartridge (after I bought my own). Found the black ink cartridge is used-up very quickly. Options for the scanner are lacking as compared to other brands (no option for PDF).
