Good with two caveats

I like many things about this printer/scanner/copier. The networkability is superb, the memory card slots, ability to print onto CDs and DVDs, the easy controls seperate from the computer, and so far the maintenance-free operation. Two things really bug me however: the COST of the ink cartridges is horendous, and the paper tray holds too few pages of paper. We are constantly replaceing cartridges in this INK HOG, and we have to keep inserting paper if we are doing any kind of printing. That's very inconvenient when printing from downstairs or somewhere else remote from the printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great at first

At first this printer would work fine. I've had it for a year. It uses a lot of ink. Photo quality started OK but now has droppd greatly and I can deal with that because I don't print many photos most are usually done at a kiosk. Problem is I still have to clean the heads often due to lines and light spots on regular printing and that uses a huge amount of ink. I have been using the correct Epson ink and after the last several purchases I finally had to start using a generic ink. I know all the stuff Epson states about "violating the warrenty and endangering my equipment" however I just cant continue with paying the prices for the Epson Ink. I at this point would rather take a chance and just replace the printer if necessary, which is a shame because I really liked the equipment in the past and if only it wasn't for the price of the ink I would gladly hang with it!

Had a bit of a time getting it connected wirelessly, but once that was done, it works great. Photos print out wonderfully. It does go through a bit of ink, but I bought the XL cartridges and we'll see how that goes.

I am throwing my Epson XP600 out and never buying another Epson product as long as I live. Paper Jam message won't clear and can't use the scanner. Useless waste of money.

Not one of Epson's better printers

Hard to keep nozzles clean, needs a lot of cleaning and cleaning on this machine uses a LOT of ink.
Paper feed and output wasn't thought out very well at all, cumbersome!
Photo print quality when the nozzles are clean is excellent, trouble is that it needs a lot of cleaning to keep the nozzles clean.
Previous Epson printers have been excellent, this one is a disappointment.

Epson XP-600

I am very disappointed in this printer. I thought it would be as good as the Epson Artisan 835 only smaller so would be more portable. It has streaks intermittently throughout the printed sheet. It will only print when it feels like it. It keeps saying that "it can't find the printer." I get so frustrated that I finally give up on trying to print something. We use Epson paper & ink (which is more expensive) & we have an Apple computer, so don't know what the problem is. The Epson Artisan 835 was much better but we were looking for something a little smaller for portability.

Great Little Printer

We bought the XP 600 to use in our 5th Wheel Travel Trailer, when we are on the road. The Wi-Fi feature works great, as we can use it wirelessly for printing needed documents from our iPads or Laptop Computer. Every once in a while we also need a copy made and this works perfect for that. Printing and sharing pictures, maps etc. has also come in handy.

Unit is much more compact than listed dimensions, Wi-Fi setup is quick and easy, photos on good Epson paper look great and are lab quality. Nice, easy to use little printer.
