Excellent Investment

I bought this product to replace a much older Epson printer that developed a mind of its own. I was immediately impressed by the speed of copy-making and the quality of the copies when I copied journal and magazine articles. I use the printer to reproduce materials for my classroom. I have used the scanner and found it to be very,very good. I would recommend this product to anyone on a budget who wants quality and speed.

The print quality of is very good printing documents or photos. The scanning feature has a full range of options, scan to PC, cloud, pdf, memory card or PC, however it scans slower than my previous Epson Stylus Photo RX-620. The wireless feature works very well. So far I have not experienced any fall out or other problems with it. The desk top foot print is reasonable and the mulit-media paper tray is a nice feature. The rear paper feed can be a little tricky getting the paper started. You have to get the paper in the feeder just right or the printer starts sending out an alarm with an error message. Being able to print on both sided of a page is a handy feature as well. All in all it has been doing a good job for me. I could recommend this as a good home printer.

This is a very complete printer for a low price and seems well designed and reasonably durable. My criticisms are:
1. Ink cartridges need cleaning more than they should (compared with other brands) costing more ink than expected.
2. Printing via WiFi is remarkably slow (using the usual sort of home router). A USB connection fixes that problem.
3. Scanner quality is decent but it is very slow, taking up to 8 minutes for one copy at a normal resolution. (Turning down the resolution from 300 dpi to 240 dpi helps this a lot.)
The printing from a distance and/or the Internet seems to have required quite a bit of work and is useless to me.
I would have preferred to pay $20 or $30 more to improve the shortcomings above, yet I only had room for this model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good little SOHO/Personal Printer

Works well for all my needs - Printing, Scanning, Faxing, Copying, even prints photos better than I expected . . . Customer support was great - the auto feed for scanning kept jamming - customer support sent a new printer quickly

I bought this printer to handle day to day tasks for my photo business. It has replaced my old scanner as it quickly scans documents and contracts wirelessly and sends a PDF doc to the desktop. The printing is actually very high quality as well and prints nice color postcards using epson paper and easy load paper cassette. The only quirk I have found is wireless printing from a smart phone. If there is more than one doc it may not print them all. One page is no problem. I use the XL ink cartridges and they seem to last well for day to day printing.
