Our third microwave in just a few years. The first was a cheapo that worked fine (after I modified it to stop an irritating buzzing), but it quit after about a year. We spent a lot more for a better name and it gave us trouble from the beginning. After the warranty ran out, I discovered the defective part, but it had other problems, so I got the Danby.
The Danby is still working well, is easy and handy to use, and has useful features. I really appreciate the warranty extension for registering on-line. There are a lot of really old microwaves around that still function, and it looks like our bad luck has ended.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very happy with this micro. Lots of convenient features. Only one complaint, that the support for the glass tray is a bit shallow and therefore somewhat precarious.

It is a wonderful appliance, heats thoroughly, however, when you open and close the door, it is so loud you can't use it when someone is sleeping. Which is hard at my house because everyone sleeps at different times. The appliance itself is very efficient. I probably wouldn't even use it if I lived in an apartment building at night because you would hear it through the floors if you were sleeping in that area.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
