Great performance, protection & value

I am a self-described techie/geek and have used most free and paid anti-malware solutions over the past year. There are several outstanding options out there, but all things considered - protection, performance, features, and price - Webroot is the best choice for 90% of users. It is easy to use, but has many options for power users. Basic users can set it and forget it. It quietly performs an idle scan once a day; compared to other anti-virus scans, it's super fast! If you have a slower old PC you should be using Webroot, because it is by far the lightest on memory and overall computer resources - it only uses 6 or 7 MB of memory in the background, compared to between 20MB all the way up to 300MB for the competition (Bitdefender, Trend Micro & McAfee using the most). The only type of user I would not recommend to use Webroot is someone who's not always connected to the internet. Reason being, Webroot relies on the cloud to scan files and processes, and while it will still work while offline, it won't be up to its full potential. All things considered, and when you add in the reasonable price of Webroot products, using it should be a no-brainer for a large portion of PC owners. It's a great choice. Check out PC Mag's 2017 review for more info - that is what made me make the final switch to Webroot.

I purchased Webroot after having another product for a number of years. It was very easy to download and setup. Haven't any problems and it seems that the computer boots, runs, and shuts down faster.
I've been so pleased with this product hat I just recommended to a friend who only had spyware protection on his computer.
