WebRoot - issues

I bought the Webroot software update as my subscription had run out. I paid for it on line got the code and uninstalled the original edition and reinstalled the new updated version with the code provided. It told me all was well and accepted the new version. Plus I got the CD in the mail. I did all this on 8/18/17.
However, every time I turn on my laptop, the message pops up from WebRoot that my subscription has expired and I need to uninstall and pay for the new version to reinstall. I DID do that and all is well. When I do scans and such it says that WebRoot is active and up to date. How can I get the pop up notification to stop showing up?

Fantastic Antivirus

I’ve recently switched from Avira to Webroot, and before that I was with Avast for a few years. Webroot is overall a really great antivirus. The performance is excellent, so the system does not slow down, and in terms of browsing the internet, I’m always made aware if a site is not secure or if something is attempting to get into the system.
The only complaint I have is that after a couple of weeks of purchasing the full package (after the free trial), the programme glitched, and then said I was unprotected. I then had to purchase the programme again, which wasn’t great, but that’s literally the only bad word I have to say.

Looks good but interferes with my home network...

The Interface is nice but I found it interferes with other machines connecting to it on my home network. I am an IT person. When I connect to this W7 machine from others on my network, connection is usually within a second or two. After installing Webroot antivirus, it took 30 - 40 seconds from a Linux machine which is unheard of. As this is unacceptable I turned Webroot off - same thing. I uninstalled it - same thing. I turned off windows firewall - same thing. Something was broken after having Webroot installed. I restored my W7 machine from an image and all is good. so I cannot recommend this product if you have a network.

I wanted an antivirus software that works quietly, simply and effectively, without constant pestering about upgrades, or urging me to enable features, or constantly congratulating itself for doing its job. So far, I'm happy on all fronts.

I have used WEBROOT for several years and have no complaints. They have been very helpful when I have called. No hype either. The y just do their job.

Ever since Webroot became my internet security, I have not had one detected threat. A good servant is one who is unobtrusive but effective in every way, and Webroot is that good servant. Thank you for a great product.

Excellent Protection

I have been using this antivirus for over 3yrs now, easy to install and update after renewing license. Covers all 3 of my PCs. Great protection and never had an issue with it.

I am very pleased with WEBROOT, it works in the background and I forget it is there. I also like supporting an American company. I feel secure that all my devices are protected.
