Webroot is continually working in the background scanning. However, every so often I get a warning (scam, not from Webroot) that my computer has been infected by a virus and to call Microsoft. The phone number is not Microsoft dupport, but a scammer. How and why do I keep getting these scams if I'm fully protected?

I changed plans & then was getting a message stating my device was NOT protected even though I had no problem make the plan change & scanning. The scan cam back with NO issues. Has to send a support message & was told the message about not being secure would continue for a month.
