Slowed my PC within last year, had to uninstall it, we used for many years, but started to slow down pc upon startup, locked taskbar and start menu for 1/2 hour.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'll always be grateful for Webroot saving me from a hacker. The hacker made a mistake when he loaded a version of Webroot telling me it was for a year. He had to have been very surprised when I subscribed at the 30-day expiration of the trial subscription he loaded and Webroot immediately removed his invading files! I've been a subscriber ever since. Thank you Webroot!

I had Webroot with a Geek subscription until it changed. I did not notice the change of affiliation to Carbonite and did not connect up for several months. The shared subscription options are unclear.
