Not experiencing the protection I was expecting.

I recently had our IT guy install webroot and spam fighter (aprox 2 months ago) , I was experiencing at least 50-60 unwanted emails per day and many were repeats. Im now experiencing aprox 25-30. It was good for the first 5-6 weeks and now its reached that frequency. I believe I was on a trial which shows it was working.

I like Webroot. I did however, had issues with getting on it. Could have been my fault. It did not start until a month after it downloaded.

Good but not the easiest to install

We have it on two laptops and one phone. Couldn't figure out how to install on the second phone. Otherwise protection is very good.

Virus

I have had one virus that tried to lock down my computer, but thankfully I managed to get out of it. It said it was Microsoft and it locked up the ability to use the computer. I shut it totally down for about 5 minutes and turned it back on. My question is, how did this virus get past Webroot?

Webroot works great in my home office, but when I go on the road, I constantly get pop ups. I thought Webroot would eliminate these?
