I've been using Webroot antivirus for several years and have never had a problem with a virus. The PC Magazine review played a large part in my decision to use Webroot.

A Lie: Webroot won't interrupt you.

Yes Webroot will interrupt you with a new pop-up message to use your new over-complicated portal for a home PC. Worse the alignment on the "Go Away" "X" is off to the left of the drawn "X". Then it comes back up again and again and again. A portal, another unnecessary username and password to forget, is overkill complicated for a home PC: this is not a corporate environment that needs to track 50-5000+ PC's. Your support says you have no way to disable the non-stop POP-UP nag message. Shame on you. Regardless You Are Fired! Now let me unsubscribe for your mandatory opt-in SPAM for warning others...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked great until it didn't.

I used this product for over a year and had both wifi protection and antivirus protection. Then all of a sudden I couldn't connect to any of the servers. I opened a ticket and was asked to try to log in again, but it didn't work, so I opened another ticket and they asked that I call them during business hours, which happened to be the same time that I am at work. Finally got some time off to call into the tech department and was on hold for 18 minutes before I finally gave up. I then called their sales support which is not related to their tech department to request a refund and was told that they couldn't refund me the rest of the year because the money-back guarantee expired after 70 days. NOT MY FAULT your software isn't working. My time is precious. I do not want to spend it on hold waiting for someone to answer the phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I can't get into my account. Here's what I get "Wrong keycode," wrong password,' wrong answer to a security question," unknown email," or the best one, "Captcha is invalid." Just give me a refund. I'll go to McAfee or Norton.

When I open Webroot it doesn't show me how to scan. I called Geeksquad and I didn't get any answers they didn't know. I can't use a product if it's not easy to use. So I will not be renewing my subscription. I will go with McAfee. When I open McAfee I can find where to scan instead of getting a run around on the app and never finding it.

I have had this product on my laptop for over 5 years. I travel quite a bit and have had no issues.
