Webroot seems to do a better job at keeping my computer safe. I do like the informing feature when it does not quite like a site you are trying to enter. I always pick the do not go there just to be extra sure I do not get hacked. I have had the other three major anti-virus protections, and each one failed me. I mean to the point of taking control of my computer - giving me a blue screen - locking everything up so you cannot use it!
I have been on a site with Webroot and accessed a sub-site and had Webroot say No No No!
You really do not want to go there, and this is why. And then they give you an understandable reason why you should not use the site. The other ones just let you access the sub-site and then when you do a virus check later, they tell you, 'Oh by the way, you have this virus, what do you want to do?' It is a little late for that. But Webroot does not just let you go there.
I am not sure Webroot is infallible, but so far in the past three years it has kept me safe.

Secure Anywhere

Webroot Secure Anywhere is an ok program. It runs in the background well to stop viruses, but not good for malware. I occasionally run Webroot manually to see what it catches. Then I run my other program to scan for malware, which takes about 5 minutes. It gets all the stuff that Webroot misses. Would be nice if Webroot would work that well.

was notified that I needed to renew. Paid for new subscription ..was not able to achieve installation. Asked help from Geek Squad without resolution. .. impossible to contact customer support. Appears I have coverage but not sure.

I thought it was all going fine, but Webroot keeps sending me emails suggesting that I haven't completed the download, yet the program is working on my computer. The program came highly recommended by techy friends. No problems yet.
