Good Value

I have used several other software packages and have compared them to Webroot. Webroot is a good value compared to these other packages and gives a reliable product. The only negative I have is sometimes there is a extended lag time when I'm going to a website that I consider to be caused by Webroot checking the downloaded bytes.

Hmm, browser lag should definitely not be caused by anything Webroot is doing in the background. Perhaps a browser plugin like an adblocker?

Good protection but....

I guess your product works fine. I have not been infected since I got it over a year ago. It i supposed to be usable for up to three machines, but my wife and I could not find directions for loading my version on her laptop. You should make that easier or stop offering it.

Crashed my Laptop
on January 4, 2020

Did not let windows do its update overnight #1909 subsequently crashing my hard drive and I have to leave it in the shop for days.
Tons of loss in productivity.
Back to just using my windows defender.
Sucks, because I just renewed my Webroot subscription.

Don’t Understand

I paid for Webroot and thought it was automatically installed on my computer and 10 days later i got a disk in the mail and at my age don’t know what to do with it and today my computer said it’s expired.. that’s a lot of money for a month

It sounds like you had Webroot installed on your computer but still need to use your activation key code to "enable" the full version. That code is likely in the box that this disc came in. I`m not sure if it`s working or not because it work`s in the background I guess. However I do know that it block`s me out of site`s that I've purchased from before, not sure if that`s a good thing or not as I thought the site was okay.

Is there any way any human could tell, if the anti virus one chooses, is working and taking care of what we all fear? All I can say, at this time, I have not been hacked or ransomed, as far as I can decipher. So yes, buy this product, seems to be transparent and doing the job as one would hope......time will tell, that’s why I’ve given three stars on its use, effectiveness, etc
