I would say that the best antivirus solution is one that stays out of your way while you're protected. I can assure you that Webroot will continue keeping your computers protected even when you don't realize it!

4 and a third Stars

In the middle of another subscription, I bought Webroot out of frustration because the other product was too aggressive "protecting" me. So, I appreciate the way Webroot works: Good protection without a sacrifice of performance. I had to knock 2/3 stars off due to an almost daily notification that both Windows Defender and Webroot are off. They're not, and all research points to a bug between MS and Webroot. Each of course, claims innocence, or pending updates. Yes, it's quite simple to dismiss the notification, but one ongoing bug makes one believe another might be lurking, and the next one might not be so innocent.
I did NOT get the suite, due to my active subscription with the other product, and using this run as a test drive so to speak. At this point, I'm unsure if I'll upgrade when the other runs out. If the notification bug goes away, I probably will. If it doesn't... Who knows.

The Optimum Protection I have experienced
on December 21, 2019

It is> very light in terms of resources, very strong and versatile in terms of protection manners, very effective, very simple to use. still, after three days of constant attacks, it could fail down, unless you take measures in the meantime. but three days is a lot of time, watching attacker after attacker failing down.

I renewed my subscription after it expired but I keep getting a notice that your service has expired and to renew the account. It is irritating.
