I am getting a message of Microsoft Spyware Pornagraphic Unknown IP address. Also says Microsoft Official Support (telling me to call). I am thinking I am being hacked if I would go in and call. I just shut down.
Wondering what can be done except get another computer. Mine is not that old.
Thank You.

Shortcomings of Webroot
on September 19, 2018

I changed from another antivirus to Webroot after reading a review in PC Magazine that said how it does its work in the background and you don't feel it's there. My main problem was that, after OS (Win 7 Home) boot, I run a batch file that launches 23 instances of Windows Explorer that I need to open. In the middle of this process the batch file execution stopped for 2..3 minutes and the computer seemed not to do anything; after that it resumed running the batchfile and completed the execution. This delay was annoying. Now I see that webroot does just the same, but the delay is even longer.
I also have Malwarebytes installed. I defragment and clean my PC on a regular basis. Since I've been using Webroot only for a few months, I cannot say how efficient an AntiVirus it is - I used the previous product for 15 years or so and didn't have problems worth speaking of.
The devil is in the details. Or, maybe it's a problem related to my software or hardware.
PS. I am a programmer and IT Consultant using the PC since 1987.

Lovely

Seems to be lovely. Won't know until either something bad happens or it doesn't.. But it worked on some old XP and Windows Server 2003 R2 systems.
