a really good antivirus.

My grandson recommended Webroot to me and it is the best antivirus I have ever used. I like the way it scans my computer every day and sofar it found one problem. That saved me a problem that I don't have to try to fix. A great AntiVirus program.

Not so good

I'm not sure what I'm paying for, maybe expecting protection from ransom ware is a bridge too far. Several times on Yahoo I was hit by ransom ware attacks. I had to shut down my pc, then restart. So, I don't really get the protection part. However, I understand maybe my protection plan isn't expensive enough to cover it all.

What you are likely finding are pop-ups designed to act as ransomware. These are actually harmless in the sense that your computer is not infected, and they have no function other than your typical pop-up ad. INSTALLED NEARLY A YEAR AGO

Webroot SecureAnywhere was recommended and installed by a professional, after our previous computer and free security efforts failed. In nearly one year later we have had 0 issues that with a security breach that was not managed b y this app. We are in our 70s and fell at peace knowing it is protecting our data. This product is well worth the investment.
