I have no idea what protection I have because I don't see any icon indicator that shows I have any protection

It sounds like SecureAnywhere may not be functioning properly. The best course of action would be to contact our Support Team by submitting a ticket https://www.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp. They will be able to assist you to make sure that the software is working correctly.
