We've had Webroot for several years and in this last one the malicious "Microsoft your computer is ours" nasty has hit, one time so bad the entire computer had to be cleaned back to the original condition (of 6 years ago) and EVERYTHING re-entered...very time consuming and expensive and the last few months the "Microsoft Screen of death" has come up several times...able to do the emergency shut down quick enough to survive but this is getting stupid. Doesn't Webroot work to stop this attack?!

I have had Webroot for five years. No viruses or other problems. That's all I require. Up until five years ago, I had an unnamed competitor. I dumped them after a virus cost me an unnamed amount of money to get my P.C. fixed (no I didn't pay ransom).
