Whirlpool Duet Washer

We have had the Duet for a coiuple of years and it has done great. It gets clothes clean and handles large loads easily.

My mother purchased the set and when she passed, as her only daughter I took them to use in my new home. She had had the. For a number of years, 6 I think, of light to general use. I used them for the same purpose for 3-4 months when the washer's CCU or MCU or their associated wiring harnesses or all 4 part gave out and the machine threw an F11 error code and the tub wouldn't spin anymore. We had whirlpool machines when I was a kid early 80's and both w/d machines were still working when my mother got this set to save energy and water. There are little savings in money or resources if you are replacing it every 5-6 years. The replacement parts and labor (if you could find someone to service it) were equal to the purchase of another washer. So, now I have a very large paper weight in my garage....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this washer used from a one-time owner. I like it as it does not have an adgetater in it. The clothes come out less wrinkled and I think it holds more clothes.

Long lasting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lasted well over ten years until the bearings failed. Replaced the bearings and now its working like new. Gotta love the lifetime warranty on the inner tub too.

Awesome Washer and Dryer

I bought my set over 14 years ago. We have a family of 9 and used it a lot. It just now had to have it's spin pump replaced. Would buy this set all over again if it was still available. Well worth the price.
