[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Read/write speed is amazing, and the stick is really portable. I have attached the usb stick to my keys and i have barely noticed any difference, very lightweight and easy to carry.

Sturdy, well built drive backed by performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thumb drive is superior to any I've used in the past. The solid weight makes it sturdy and reliable when flipping between sides. Fast download and upload times help separate the Lexar Dual Drive from the boring, flimsy, ordinary drives you're probably used to.

Durable and Fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Small drives are really helpful in today’s world when transferring video and pictures to friends. The Lexar Drive makes it really easy with 32gb of space and fast read write speeds. It takes no time at all to load and offload 4k videos and thousands of pictures. It’s a really good drive for the price since it included type ca and type A connections. It has a metal case that is fun to fidget with and operates very well. When under heavy read/write the drive stays cool to touch and does not get hot. It’s a great everyday file transfer drive that feels very durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good
This little drive feels great in the hand. The body feels like metal, and the flip mechanism is smooth with a satisfying click at each quarter turn. It gives you both USB C and USB A ends, so it plugs into just about any computer without an adapter. It’s small enough to slip in a pocket, though it has no LED activity light, so you won’t see when it’s working.

Read speeds beat the packaging. The box promises 100MB/s, and CrystalDiskMark showed over 150MB/s. USB C and USB A performed within 5% of each other, so you don’t have to pick a favorite side.
It also ships with encryption software on the drive to help protect your data, and it doesn’t try to install itself when you plug it into a Windows computer. I didn’t run the software myself, so I can’t speak to how well it works. I’m just glad it stays out of the way.
The Reality Check
Write speed is where this drive falls short. CrystalDiskMark showed writes below 50MB/s, and a real large-file copy settled around 23MB/s. At that rate, filling the drive takes about 21 minutes for the 28.8GB you can actually use, or around 23 minutes if you go by the 32GB on the label. That adds up if you move big files often. (Speaking of capacity, it showed 28.8GB on my computer, which is normal formatting overhead.)

It also runs warm during copying and benchmarking. It was never uncomfortable to hold, and the metal body is probably helping move heat away, so I’d call that a feature.
