[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thus drive is great. Hooking it up to a high speec usb c port on my computer allowed me to backup important documents and pictures with a speed i have not seen before.
This drive is lightweight and portable. It doesn't take up much space at all when placing it into a safe.
One huge benefit of this as opposed to some older drives is there is no need for an additional power supply.
The drive is plug and play.
Although with much troubleshooting I could not get the software to work it worked fine as a backup drive for me.
I would recommend this product.

Perfect For Travelling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed by the lightness and small size of the unit. I'll be going on a cruise next spring and even though my phone has lots of capacity, I somehow feel that I'll be using more than my phone can handle. This little device gives me a place to store my photos and videos so that I can delete them from my phone and give me room for the next day's fun! It's also very light weight so adding it to my checked luggage won't be an issue. Overall I'd recommend this for anyone like me who takes TONS of photos and videos!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Samsung P7 Portable SSD. I enjoyed using it very much. It's super fast and loved how thin the profile is. It's my smallest non SD card drive, and much faster than anything I own so far. The cord is also well made of good durable quality material. I haven't had any issues with it running in my laptop which is Windows, or in my family's Macbook. It's completely compatible. I use the drive to transfer word documents, PDFs, jpeg files, RAW files, photos, movies, videos, and TV shows. Performance is quite fast and don't have to wait long at all even for huge files that normally take a lot longer to transfer. It's black solid color and nice to look at. I like the strength of the usb connection as that is the failure point in other brands and models. I like the slim profile and the fast speed the most. Overall love using this daily for work and file transfer at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung P7 Portable SSD is easy to use; you plug it in and go. It connects and runs perfectly with my phone. The transfer rate is super-fast at up to 4,000 MB/s. It also connects with my laptop perfectly. The best part is that it is small and thin enough to carry in your pocket. And I also like the fact that the cable is bound with Velcro straps. I will be using the drive to back up pictures from my phone so that I never have to worry about losing them, and to save space on the actual phone. There are no features to me that I use on the drive other than its transfer rate. It does have the latest USB support of USB4. The hard drive is compatible with Windows, Android, and macOS. It really is amazing how small hard drives have become with high capacity like 1TB.

Compact and Tons of Storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve found the Samsung P7 1TB Portable SSD to be a convenient storage solution for both my Apple iPhone and Windows laptop. I like being able to use the same portable drive with different devices, making it easier to manage and access my files depending on what I’m working on.
One of the biggest advantages for me is having extra space to store photos, videos, documents, and other important files. Using it with my iPhone is especially useful when I want another option for storing photos and videos, while connecting it to my Windows laptop gives me a convenient way to organize files and keep important documents in one place.
I also really like the compact design. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, so I can keep it with me without taking up much space. The 1TB capacity provides plenty of room for everyday storage needs and it was very fast and easy to use as well!
Overall, I appreciate the flexibility of being able to use the Samsung P7 with both my iPhone and Windows laptop. Its combination of portability, storage capacity, and compatibility makes it a practical choice for everyday use. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient way to store and manage files across compatible devices.

Increase in real transfer speed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying I have several different versions of the portable SSD format and past generation of the P7. I tested this new P7 with Benchmarking and data upload and download speed. I did use a high speed port on my Maingear server that has an NVIDIA 5090 and I9 processor. Overall this generation of the P7 performs roughly 16 second increase over each minute. As we are constantly transferring hours of video footage everyday, this is very important to our work. This saves us 16 minutes per hour in idle time and this is very important. It is overall a little larger but not a game ender. Color is great and it has a large activity light. I prefer the smaller light but not a decision maker for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung P7 Portable SSD was easy to install into my PC with a simple USB C plugin. I was able to access it easily through my files and could use it right away.
This has 1TB of storage and up to 4000 MB/s speed which has made downloading games super easy. I haven’t been limited as to how many games I can download so far and have downloaded multiple games and data after installing this.
I like the compact design of this and feel confident in how fast and efficient this has been. This portable SSD has been a great addition to my gaming and homeschool PC.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh, I've been waiting for this portable SSD for quite a bit. Since it was first announced, I knew I had to have it. I got the 1TB version and I'm blown away. It’s incredibly small and easy to toss into a bag or even a pocket, which makes it perfect for travel or working between different setups. Despite its tiny size, the data transfer speeds feel lightning fast, especially when moving large video files, photo libraries, or backups. I just did a backup from my old computer to my new one, in under 8 minutes. It was wild.
It has a solid, premium feel without being bulky, and it’s nice not having to rely on slower external drives anymore. Setup was simple, and it worked right away without any hassle. Everything you need, is included.. except one thing. I wish it came with a carrying case or even a little bag.
Overall, it’s a reliable, super portable drive that makes storing and moving files feel effortless. I highly recommend it!
