Huge capability in a small package!

A friend got one and after a 2 minute I had to get one too. I replace a Fender Mustang amp with this and the bandbox makes playing way more fun, super convenient and so much capability with a hyper simple interface. I initially felt it was overpriced but after 15 minute of playing with made it worth every penny!

It’s everything I hoped it would be: small, clear, loud, solidly built and with a 1/8in headphone jack just in case. The app dials in the tone with my mic. I recommend Seinheiser setting and using the delay without reverb for pop/rock vocal sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Bandbox Solo is a really cool and very fun product for any musician younger or older. The sound considering the size is absolutely incredible. It is extremely easy to use I literally took it out of the box and was playing my guitar along to a song within minutes. You can remove a guitar, drum or vocal track from a song and then play along or simply use it as an amp. It has a few different voices and is the perfect piece of equipment for a musician on the go. If you can’t bring a full amp set up with you and need to practice or warm up in a hotel room it’s the perfect item for you. Easy to set up, easy to use and extremely FUN to play with. I can’t stress enough how great the sound is for such a little speaker. I was amazed as an amplifier or simply as a speaker. It’s important to mention I don’t think there is a way to remove just the Bass track from a song only guitar, drum or vocal track.

So I’ll start with, I read quite a few reviews myself. I own a full featured home studio, I’m a guitar player and have since I was 12, I’m 42 now. I know premium sound. This is the single best guitar purchase I’ve made in years. It gets you playing, sound quality is phenomenal coming out of something in size equal to two king size snickers. I read some complaints about a limiting sound..yes but not really. It’s called gain staging. Anyone getting this result doesn’t understand this concept. (No offense). I’ve got it to do this yes, but easily fixed by treating it like how I would a full size guitar amp. Dial back setting, and use built in pedals to achieve sound. Ive owned it all, and still own much of it. This makes not guitar playing anywhere annd everywhere inexcusable.

The concept seemed great although the execution was horrible. I had to send back as this was unusable as a traveling practice amp. Even at a low volume, there were weird and constant dips/swells in the sound, very noticeable volume drops, almost like power was cutting in and out (fully charged). The tuner was one of the worst I’ve ever used as well. The preset tones were fine but all unusable with the constant volume swells.
